Since we started in 2001 we have been based in Hobart. Tasmania is a beautiful place to live and work, and we are proud to be an active part of the tight-knit technology community on the there.

Over the 20 years, we have been fortunate to work with clients all over the world from our offices that look out over the Derwent River. We’ve built websites and web applications for clients as diverse as gift shops on Norfolk Island, Japanese dog food (strangely for a client from Singapore) and tourist tracking apps for a regional tourism body in south-east Sweden.

Proving you really can work anywhere, with anyone, any time.

Sometimes though there is nothing better than getting around a table, waving your arms and really talking through a strategy in an immersive way. So as we continue to work on a wide scale of projects with clients with a national presence it made sense for us to have a space to have those conversations and for our Melbourne-based team members to have a home.

When we were looking at a space for our Melbourne office we considered a number of the great coworking spaces and seriously weighed up the benefits of a ready made community vs having an office which was just for us.

In the end, we decided to make the investment in an Ionata Digital office so that we the had option to customise the space for us and plenty of room for team members to be based here when they need to meet with our Melbourne clients or if they just want a break in the big city.
