Founded in 1887, The Friends’ School is an independent, coeducational day and boarding school located in the heart of Hobart, Tasmania. Founded on Quaker values that still apply today, the school thrives on an intrinsic spirit of inclusion, service to others and an open and welcoming community.
As the largest Quaker School in the World (and the only Quaker School in Australia), The Friends’ School offers education programs from Early Learning through to Year 12.

Friends’ needed a digital presence that reflected their brand and their values more cohesively and effectively, for both local and international audiences.
The school community and day-to-day school activities are highlighted throughout the website, through both video and photography, and we have also included Virtual Tours of all campuses to allow all audiences to experience the Friends’ environment and spirit remotely.
Clear and concise navigation ensures all information is easily accessible, and busy families can find the most up-to-date details at a moment’s notice.
Online bookings and enrolment applications remove barriers to enquiry, ensuring a streamlined and straightforward process, reducing admin hours for families and school staff alike.
The Friends’ School now has an online presence that reflects their campuses, pedagogy and community: warm, welcoming, and inclusive.
Design that stands the test of time
Originally launching in 2019, The Friends’ School website was designed to grow with the school, remaining beautiful, cohesive and timeless.
More recently, The Friends’ School’s Illuminate campaign launched with a single page website designed to gain support from the community. Built within the User Interface family we created, Illuminate sits seamlessly as a sibling to the primary site.
We ensure that all our websites are designed to be scalable to grow and change with your organisation over the years – not just to look great at launch. Friends’ is a great example of a website that is lasting the test of time – timeless, clean and still converting high engagement online to high enrolment applications.
