Sponsoring Social Innovation
On Friday night, people from right across Tasmania’s tech scene got together to celebrate the year that was. Recognising the teams and projects behind some genuinely useful technology, from keeping businesses safe online to building smarter systems and supporting good causes.
This year we sponsored the Social Innovation Technology Award, and our CEO Martin had the honour of presenting it to Bank of us and Secret Lab Pty. Ltd. for their Big Plans app — a tool that helps kids learn how to manage money confidently without pushing products on them, or collecting their data along the way. It’s a great example of technology being used to help improve our society, which is exactly what this award is all about.
Sponsoring this category and celebrating other organisations that share in our mission in doing meaningful work — particularly when it comes to social impact — is something we’re proud to be part of.
It was also a great night to celebrate the breadth of talent across Tasmania’s tech sector more broadly.
