Established in 1988, The Beacon Foundation is a non-profit organisation working in conjunction with schools, businesses and communities in regions of high youth disengagement and unemployment to align the school curriculum with real-life skills that prepare students for the workplace.

Operating in all Australian states and territories, Beacon will assist over 15,000 young Australians from 120+ schools and communities in 2016.

The first of its kind in Australia, the eBeacon web app developed by Ionata Digital for The Beacon Foundation facilitates online communication between teachers, industry experts and students.

Built on Angular JS with a Django/Python API, this cutting-edge, technology driven platform is highly accessible, easy to navigate, responsive, adaptable to all screen types and scalable.

eBeacon enhances Beacon’s reach substantially, enabling them to work with more schools, businesses and communities to improve student, employment and community outcomes.

Ionata Digital and the Beacon Foundation received an iAward for eBeacon in 2017. Recognising the value of the eBeacon platform in delivering outcomes in schools around Australia.
