This is the revolutionary message of the documentary film Design Disruptors, created by Invision, an innovative web software company and a leader in the design community. The documentary reveals a view into the inner workings of some of the biggest tech companies embracing design and disrupting billion dollar industries. Over 90 design leaders are interviewed to provide perspective on how a design-driven business revolution is underway around the world. They are inspiring teams at trailblazing companies like Airbnb, Facebook, Google Ventures, Netflix, Pinterest, Salesforce, Spotify, and Twitter to redefine the way we live and work for the better.
A revolutionary message.
Design is an inclusive practice.
Design is an inclusive practice that centres around aggregated user needs, considers human nature and psychology, defines possible ways to accomplish tasks and gets ongoingly refined by feedback from real user behaviour. It is practical and emotional, employing both the tools of problem solving and empathy in equal measure.
The film served to enlighten those outside design to the nature of the newly embraced field, which is shaping business more and more every day. The film served to embolden and inspire designers and would-be designers to create the next generation of products that will continue to change the world.
Here at Ionata Digital we are working on several products including a web application tracking tourist behaviour in Tasmania, a learning platform connecting teachers and students with materials in new ways, and a public transport product. Design plays a critical role in empowering the users of our products to quickly assimilate the information these products make available and easily carry out the tasks the designs afford.
If you have a service you’d like realised with the help of the power of design, let’s talk.
